Age-related myelin damage induces inflammatory responses, yet its involvement in Alzheimer’s disease remains uncertain, despite age being a major risk factor. Using a mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease, we found that amyloidosis itself triggers age-related oligodendrocyte and myelin damage.
